Why an Orthodontist?

Orthodontist vs. Dentist

An orthodontist is a dentist, but a dentist is not an orthodontist. All orthodontists are dentists first, but though not every dentist has the qualifications to be an orthodontist. Dr. Johnson continued her formal education for 2 or 3 additional years before receiving the license and certification. As an orthodontist, Dr. Johnson has spent years studying nothing but how and why to move teeth. His knowledge includes what to do, how to plan, and how to execute the appropriate treatment plan.

Milford Braces

As one of the most efficient orthodontic treatments available, traditional braces aren't going anywhere. When it comes to correcting just about any tooth issue, whether it's simple or complex, Milford metal and ceramic braces will be a great option. Milton braces are also a cost-effective option for patients on a budget. Because they sometimes work faster at closing gaps and aligning teeth than other options might, overall treatment time can be shorter. Also, braces don't require some more complicated technology or expensive equipment that newer treatments can.

Milford Invisalign

The Milford Invisalign system is incredibly popular with both patients and orthodontists and is currently the top alternative to traditional braces. This option uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually move the teeth into alignment instead of brackets and bands.

Invisalign aligners are made of a comfortable plastic material and a virtually invisible design to fit snugly over your teeth. Dr. Johnson will give you the specifics, but most patients switch their trays out every 1-2 weeks for the next series. Wear your aligners 20-22 hours per day throughout treatment for them to do their job.

Invisalign is most effective in correcting many of the most common orthodontic issues and may not be the best option for patients with incredibly complex cases. A free consultation with Johnson Orthodontics will help determine your eligibility for Invisalign.

Testimonials from Milford Orthodontics patients:

Johnson's Orthodontics is the best orthodontic and dental experience I've ever had. The whole team of employees is wonderful. They all care about you and your smile. Dr.Johnson is the best and gave me a smile I've always wanted. I loved my braces from the first day I got them until the last day I had them, and I even miss my braces since I got them off. But I'm so happy, impressed, and in love with my teeth and smile now I couldn't be happier with my experience. I will always come to Johnson's Orthodontics for any orthodontic needs, and I tell anyone who will get braces or need orthodontic treatment to go here. If I could give ten stars, I would because five isn't enough for how unique my experience and team are. - Tayn

We couldn't have had a better experience at Johnson Orthodontics. Dr. Johnson and his staff are always so upbeat and welcoming every time we go in. Additionally, the special touches around the office show how committed the office is to their patients. Dr. Johnson has a great "bedside manner." You feel like you are talking to a friend. - Lisa

I had a great experience working with Dr. Johnson and his friendly and professional staff to straighten my teeth using Invisalign. The office is conveniently located and features state of the art equipment. From my initial consultation to my "graduation day" today, it has been a real pleasure, and the results are fantastic. I am so happy with my new smile! This process took me approximately 15 months, and I was very impressed with the time that Dr. Johnson spent checking my progress along the way and making adjustments as necessary to achieve the best results. I highly recommend Johnson Orthodontics! - Adam
